4-H Science and Adventure Camp

The 4-H Camp is a week long outdoor camping experience for 4th to 8th grade youth. High school teens act in leadership roles assisting campers and in planning and conducting cross-age teaching in the various topic areas of the camp. The annual camp theme varies from year to year. Topics have included watersheds, weather, woodlands, habitat, search and rescue, land use and others. Youth learn science related environmental topics and teens learn leadership and teaching skills. Adult volunteers assist and coach the teens and campers. Campers and teens are comprised of about 2/3 girls
