Environment for the Americas
2010 Connecting People to Nature through Birds Course
Opportunity Description
http://www.birdday.org/education/training
Environment for the Americas has worked with staff at the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service's National Conservation Training Center Division of Education Outreach to fine-tune and lead a 4-day course called Connecting People with Nature through Birds. The purpose of this course is to help educators, biologists, and volunteers gain confidence and skills in connecting people with birds through a variety of bird-focused programs. Every level of birder can gain new techniques, ideas, and activities. This is NOT a bird identification course. Rather, we focus on about a dozen species for practicing birding skills and teaching techniques.
