Dennis Bartels is the Executive Director of the Exploratorium, a renowned science museum and educational center. Prior to taking on his current role at the Exploratorium, Dr. Bartels was the President of the Technical Education Research Centers (TERC). He is nationally-recognized as a leader in science education and policy; He was named a Fellow on Education by the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) and serves on the Board of Directors for the Association of Science-Technology Centers (ASTC). Dennis was a founding member of the Coalition’s Steering Committee in 2004 and has served as Chair since 2008.
